(BAWN)- Chicago, IL. – Robert Kelly or better known as singer, R.Kelly has just turned himself in to a Chicago Police jail house to face indictment in the face of a Cook County grand jury that has recently been convened in connection to new allegations which include an “alleged,” sex tape with a 14 year old minor.
The embattled R&B was charged with 10 counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse. He is expected to appear in bond court Saturday — earlier Cook County prosecutors alleged in an explosive indictment filed Friday with abuse involved five victims, at least three of them minors, from 1998 to 2010.
The minors were between 13 and 16, prosecutors said. Kelly is 51.
Prosecutors appeared before Judge Dennis Porter Friday, who approved a no-bail warrant for Kelly, records show.
According to two sources close to the case including Attorney Micheal Avenatti. Kelly was seen as the suspect male in a video tape now turned over to the Cool Country States Attorney Kim Fox’s office. Last week-Avenatti responded by stating that he recently met with officials on the ground in Cook County and is certain that an indictment of the superstar singer is inevitable.
Weeks ago Kelly released a 19-minute confessional titled “I Admit” — that addresses years of unflattering headlines about his private life. Beginning line after line with “I admit …” the singer confesses to a multitude of acts, including infidelity, sleeping with his girlfriend’s best friend, having sexual relationships with fans and going to strip clubs every week.”I admit I was in my own way,” he sings.Acknowledging he’s “made some mistakes” and has “imperfect ways.”
Kelly also says he tried to help others in the music industry who turned on him. In the days ahead on-watchers will see if the words of Kelly’s own song will be used as a affidavit against himself.
Again, Kelly is expected for a bond hearing on Saturday Morning.
